ABOUT FE...
I’m so happy that you are here – I know what the rollercoaster of redundancy can be like emotionally. I really want to help you….and am confident I can ….so just a bit about me….
Over the past 30 years I’ve had a varied, interesting and successful career. From advertising & marketing, to analytics and IT, product, operations and customer experience.
I’ve even sold watermelons on a beach in the greek islands for a summer and taught English in Argentina for 2 years!
After this 4th redundancy I’ve decided to make it my mission to help other people now. I’m using all my passion, experience and experiences, as well as my positive psychology studies and training to help people move from ‘sad & stuck’ to ‘happy & hopeful’. Is that you?
REDUNDANCY
I’ve been made redundant 4x, and experienced:
- sadness & shock
- anxiety and depression
- and once, a complete breakdown
ABOUT YOU
Which means I know how you might be feeling. Critically, you may not have the right headspace to look for another job just yet. I know I found myself sad & stuck for too long, and it took me about 3 months to get back to my best self again. The good news is that each time I eventually came back better than ever, with my career continuing on an upward trajectory.
Even better news, I know how to get you off the redundancy rollercoaster as quickly as possible ……
SABBATICAL/CAREER BREAKS
Sometimes taking a career break/sabbatical to live your dreams is the best thing you can decide to do after a redundancy – I can also help you create and live a lifetime experience you’ll always remember as the best decision you ever made!
Overall, I think I’ve taken 5 sabbaticals ….. I’m a born traveller…..oops that’s 6….
- Living and working in London on and off for 3 years, seeing and experiencing Europe, Morocco & parts of Africa
- Living on a Greek island for an entire summer (Paros)
- Travelling around east Africa for 12 months
- Salsa Dancing my way around Central America for 6 months
- Teaching English and dancing Tango in Buenos Aires for 2 years
- A ‘stay at home’ kind of sabbatical doing all the things I love doing, studying Positive Psychology and deciding to help people who have been made redundant.
Sabbaticals did not affect my career, I was a very successful corporate citizen!
MY STREED CRED
- An ear, empathy, understanding and experience regarding the emotional redundancy rollercoaster, how to manage it more positively, and importantly and how to get off it.
- A very successful career spanning some 30 years across companies, departments and roles, which I have found means I can understand your situation quickly.
- Yes, I have studied as well, *AGSM, Charles Sturt, DMA New York, DMA London…….and am currently studying a Diploma of Positive Psychology with the Langley Group here in Australia.
Track record in making a difference to people’s lives – this is what I get out of bed for…..testimonials are testament!
